What to Expect
Hiring a fundraising consultant can feel daunting. We want to make it as easy as possible for you. Check out what you expect when you engage Little Bean Group.
We engaged Stephanie to help our Board better understand how they can participate in fundraising for our school. Our board members were reluctant to engage in active fundraising. She was able to jump start our process of everyone feeling more comfortable.
- Bryce Jacobs, Board Member, Sela Public Charter School
Before we formally partner with any organization, we allow ample time for discussion to understand your specific needs and what problem you’re trying to solve. We want to make sure that our time together is well spent. We will listen to your needs and then prepare a customized proposal to address them. When we are in agreement about how to move forward, we sign an engagement letter.
Once we formally begin an engagement, we hold a kickoff meeting to discuss your specific goals and our plans to help you achieve them. We provide a detailed timeline and make sure we are in agreement about how we will move forward. From there, we set up standing meetings to ensure we stay on task.
Little Bean Group will then create customized strategies and deliverables that we’ll review during our meetings. Each project is different. For some clients, we share information about our development assessment results. For other clients, we may talk about strategies to deepen donor engagement and then create customized deliverables. There is no standardized Little Bean Group engagement. Everything we do is fully customized for each client.
Throughout our engagement, we communicate regularly and seek input and feedback. We share resources that may be helpful. We hold a check in meeting halfway throughout the engagement to make sure we are still on track and meeting all goals and metrics.
We have a wrap up conversation at the end of every engagement and make sure clients have access to all deliverables and feel good about moving forward.
Why choose Little Bean Group?
Here are some things that we ask of our clients to ensure that we can be as helpful as possible:
- We ask that clients commit time to our engagement, participate actively in meetings, and ask as many clarifying questions as are needed.
- We ask that clients make sure we can access the data and information we need in order to fulfill our deliverables
- We ask that clients let us know who are the key decision makers for each process.
We know that engaging a fundraising consultant can feel overwhelming. We want to make the process as seamless, supportive, and transparent as possible. Contact us to learn more or set up a free initial consultation.
